Apple Pie Crumb Muffins

These muffins are so moist, sweet and absolutely divine, made with our most popular Organic Apple Pie Jam! The crunchy, sweet streusel topping really gives it that crunch and extra touch of cinnamon sweetness.


  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 4oz (1/2 stick) organic cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup (1 stick) organic unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup organic sugar
  • ½ cup organic brown sugar
  • 2 organic eggs, room temperature
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • ½ cup Food Jules organic apple pie jam
  • 2 organic apples, peeled and shredded

 Streusel Topping:

  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup organic brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • 4 tblsp (1/2 stick) organic unsalted butter, cold and cubed


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line muffin cups with paper liners.
  2. In large bowl, whisk all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
  3. In bowl of electric mixer, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add organic sugar and brown sugar and beat until incorporated. Mix in eggs, vanilla and apple pie jam and continue to beat until light and fluffy.
  4. Reduce speed to low and add in flour mixture, just until blended.
  5. Fold in shredded apples. Spoon batter into muffin cups.
  6. For streusel topping, mix all-purpose flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add cubes of butter and with your hands, combine until mixture gets crumbly. Sprinkle top of each muffin with streusel.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Yields 12 standard muffins.
