Welcome to foodjules! Starting a blog is very exciting, but let me tell you, it is not easy. So, you’ll see some changes as I figure this all out.
This blog and cooking adventure is in loving memory of our son, Julian, who passed away 6 weeks ago at only 9 weeks old. He was such a sweet and beautiful baby and loved by all of his family and friends.
We were all so sad when we learned he had SMA (spinal muscular atrophy). I just couldn’t believe it and didn’t… I tried to enjoy him as much as I could while praying for a miracle. His time here was so short but so special. He was my miracle. My third child. My beautiful little angel. You’ll learn more about him as you visit my blog.
I have a lot to share with you about life, food, gardening and health… so stay tuned!
Oh Liz, I can’t wait to read more.

You Are truly an amazing woman! An inspiration to us all. I am so proud to be your sister, and I look forward to your success with all your endeavors!
Can you give us a recipe for pancakes?
Definitely. I’ll be posting recipes on this blog too, just as soon as I can figure out how to best organize them.

Liz,
you are amazing, you are a wonderful mother and a very strong woman. Julian is looking down on you smiling away! I can’t wait to get your recipes and most importantly, I can’t wait for the gardening part, I can’t grow anything. Good luck with this blog, I will be following it faithfully!
Liz, i finally have a chance to read your blogs. I am so happy that you are able to express your feelings and awesome tips because I definately need some. Spring is around the corner and the grass is dead. Hopefully you can find some time to blog about how to get the grass green after this horrible winter. Looking forward to reading more blogs.
I am so moved by your blog! Your struggles remind us all to love freely, reach out to others and take each day one breath or one baby step at a time. I really needed to hear your message today. Thank you for letting me into your life and giving me the chance to get to know you, Julian and the rest of your family.
I will be praying for you, your husband and your three beautiful children!
I read several times how blessed you felt to have Julian. Please know that Jullian was blessed to have such an amazing mom!
Thank you. You made me smile.
