Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! At least that’s what all the health experts tell me and what my husband keeps reminding me about every day. I don’t know about you, but I am just too busy getting the kids ready for school, packing their lunches and doing my morning chores to eat breakfast. The only thing I need in the morning to keep me going is a LARGE cup of coffee.
However, it is true, that your body starts to slow down its metabolism and store fat if you don’t eat a healthy breakfast in the morning. The other day on the Dr Oz show, he mentioned that as long as we eat within the first two hours of getting up in the morning, we should be good. So, I try my best to eat before those two hours are up, even if its just a handful of raw almonds and a quick smoothie or granola bite.
